A Project for Kids, from Your New Heritage District Creation Care Team
Spring is in the air, and even as we await Easter morning, signs of life and resurrection are all around us. As trees and flowers come back to life, many of us look to creation with joy and anticipation of the warm weather to come.
Kids especially, perhaps, are able to find joy in the wonders of God’s creation. Over the next few months, as the Heritage District creation care team gets up and running, we hope to be able to share different ways that children and adults throughout our district can connect with creation.
This month, we invite your children’s ministry, or parents at home with their children, to follow this recipe to make Easter Egg Birdseed Ornaments. Through this project, children can feel more connected to the nature in their own backyard or around the church. Perhaps you could also encourage the children in your church to learn the names of the birds that enjoy these treats that have been set out for them, and report back during a children’s sermon.
Over the coming months, look for more ideas like this of small ways you can lead your church into a closer connection with creation. And, if your church is already connecting to nature in a unique way, we would love to hear about it, and maybe even share it in a future newsletter. Please send any of these stories to Jacob Dye at email@example.com.
