Dear NC Inclusive Disaster Recovery Network Members,
Our grant funding opportunity is now posted online. The North Carolina Inclusive Disaster Recovery (NCIDR) network is seeking proposals from organizations conducting disaster recovery work in response to Hurricane Florence that are:
Minority-led, and/or Specifically serving traditionally underrepresented communities, including communities of color, those within which English is the second language, people with physical or cognitive disabilities, communities of lower wealth
This program is funded by NC Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund, and administered, on behalf of NCIDR, by Rural Forward NC, a program of Foundation for Health and Leadership Innovation.
Applications open Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Grant decisions will be made on a rolling basis by members of the NC Inclusive Disaster Recovery Network until funds are fully spent. Learn more at https://www.nccommunityfoundation.org/apply/grants/nc-inclusive-disaster-recovery-network-grant-program.
We are excited for this opportunity because, as one NCIDR member put it, “Disasters reveal ongoing structures of discrimination and marginalization. If recovery does not address them and help improve them, then it reinforces them.”
