Heritage District Gold Valley Scholarship Guidelines
The Heritage District will make one annual scholarship award for an undergraduate at a 4-year college, who:
- anticipates high school graduation and has been accepted to college, or demonstrates at least a current 3.0-grade point average in college.
- demonstrates active participation in a Heritage District church or ministry
- demonstrates financial need
- completes an application and attaches two letters of recommendation, one from pastor or church leader and one from a teacher or guidance counselor.
The Heritage District will make two scholarship awards for persons in the District attending Community College, Two-year Residential College, Continuing Education, or seminary, who:
- will attend community college, two-year residential college, seminary, or a continuing education program
- demonstrates active participation in a Heritage District church or ministry
- demonstrates financial need
- completes an application and attaches two letters of recommendation, one from pastor or District Superintendent and one from teacher or professor.
The Heritage District Committee on Superintendency will award these scholarships based on financial need and potential benefit to the local church.
All applications will be due on May 15th, announced on June 15th, and money disbursed directly to the school or organization providing the education by July 1.
The application is due May 15, 2020.
